How do I place an order or schedule delivery?

Simply call, text, or email us or fill out our Hay Order Request Form with your desired hay variety and quantity. We’ll instantly check our current barn inventory and email you a direct invoice and pickup date estimate within 24 hours.

What types of hay do you offer?

We offer:  Alfalfa, Timothy, Timothy/Orchard mix, Orchard, Orchard mix, Native Little Bluestem Prairie, and a maintenance blend(fescue and mixed).

Depending on your needs, we sometimes have premium 4×5 round bales and 4×5 outside stored cattle grade bales. See more details and hay analysis on our hay page.

Is hay available year-round?

We do our best to have hay year-round but that isn’t always possible. We urge everyone to plan ahead the best they can.

What is your minimum order volume?

We do have a minimum for deliveries. This is case by case depending on location.

Do you test your hay?

All hay is tested and will come with analysis to show you what you are purchasing. We can also help you read the analysis!

What is the best hay for horses?

All of our hay is graded and suitable for consumption by horses or any livestock. Contact us to get more involved on what may be best for your animal!

Can I reserve hay for future pickup?

We offer a period of time usually around the first of the new year for buyers to purchase futures. After that all hay is first come first serve.

What is low sugar hay?

Low sugar hay is hay that has been tested and has a NSC value of 12% or less.

Do you deliver?

We offer delivery/offload/stack local and for larger loads we can send you a semi loaded with approximately 740 bales to anywhere in the country.

How much does each bale weigh, and what size are they?

Bales are 2 string measuring 14x18x35” and weigh 48-50# utilizing the best bale computer system.

Do you offer hay storage?

Freedom Farms offers indoor hay storage for customers who are unable to take immediate delivery or do not have adequate storage capacity. To ensure sufficient barn space for each year’s harvest, the following storage policy applies:

• Storage begins: September 1 of each calendar year.

• Storage rate: $1.00 per bale, per month.

• Payment for hay: All hay placed into storage must be paid for in full prior to storage. All hay sales are final and non-refundable.

• Payment for storage: Storage fees are paid in advance and are non-refundable.

• Insurance: All hay stored at Freedom Farms is protected by our farm insurance in the event of fire or other unforeseen covered losses, providing added peace of mind while your hay is in our care.

• Final pickup date: All stored hay must be picked up no later than March 1 of the following year. This allows our barns to be cleaned, prepared, and available for the upcoming hay season.
